MADRID, Spain, MAY 6, 2003 (Zenit.org).- John Paul II is already thinking of a possible sixth apostolic pilgrimage to Spain, Vatican spokesman Joaquín Navarro-Valls told Europa Press.

Asked by Queen Sofia on Sunday about another trip to Spain, the Pope responded that he would be pleased.

He indicated that «a date will have to be fixed» for such a trip, said Navarro-Valls and Asunción Valdés, the press director of Zarzuela Palace, the Spanish monarchs' residence.

Navarro-Valls said that the Pope's trip to Spain this past weekend «surpassed expectations, not only in numbers - knowing that at times numbers are not everything - but in terms of cordiality, of that interaction that was established on Saturday, especially in the meeting with young people.»
