ASSISI, Italy, JAN. 11, 2002 (Zenit.org).- The Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi has activated a Web page dedicated to the Day of Prayer for Peace, schedule for Jan. 24.
The Web page gives information on the event as well as John Paul II's previous visits to, speeches in, Assisi.
Internet surfers can send in their prayers, thoughts and drawings on world peace. The site opens with a picture of the rainbow that in 1986 was the backdrop for the Holy Father's meeting with the world's religious leaders.
The section on the Day of Prayer is only in Italian. Pages in other languages will be published shortly.
